Our sweet Hemi boy came to us as a 5 week old puppy, rescued from a homeless girl that was dragging him along the sidewalk. I never knew at that time, just how much this boy would mean to me and to our family. I don't know how to explain it other than he was my soul dog. He loved all of us, but he was my protector, my comfort, my best friend in a furry body. He was only 6 years old and cancer took him. For being such a healthy boy, it'll never be understood how cancer just came in. I could go on and on about Hemi, I have so many funny and sweet stories about him. But I'm honored that in his name, he is helping other fur babies in their healing and medical journeys.
