A donation was made in memory of Snickers by

Snickers was born 3/16/94. She had three siblings. Their mom was a wild cat who gave birth at my then boss' house. Mom disappeared and my daughter and I fed the four from bottles and adopted Snickers and Mika at a couple weeks of age. My Mika lived four years, but had a liver-lipid condition and died at four yrs. My Snickers lived with me through more than any cat should-a long move, periods of separation when my housing didn't allow cats, but I always got her back as soon as I could. I did not want to give her to someone, or send her to cat "foster, etc". This baby came back to me and was my sweetie for almost 16 years total. The doctors at animal medical center in Richland, WA were kind to both of us and made her comfortable when she was ill. Snickers passed away at the vet's office. I wish I had been there, but not. She said good-bye to me in the vet's office; I kind of knew it when she laid her head in my hand-but I expected comfort measures and to come back the next a.m to agree to euthanasia. I am glad I didn't have to say that final word. The vet told me she felt better, ate a little, and I think/hope that with the pain med, she went to sleep with no pain.
Snickers (and Mika) were both wild cats in their nature. They learned to trust myself and my daughter, and only a few people whom they saw regularly.
I am blessed for having these beautiful, loving girls in my life. I miss them. It still hurts to think about 'nick. So I am done now. If no one reads this or cares, I don't care. I love all my cats, Mika and Snickers weren't the first; I adopted a cat who had been abandoned for a month after Snickers died-love her too.
There is no replacement for my kitties. I know Snickers understands-she would have hated that cage at the vets.
