Baby Jr. was a stray kitty that had been coming to my house to eat for a few years. I try to take care of some of the strays in my neighborhood. I noticed last year that he had been getting thinner and when I petted him I immediately knew something was wrong. He was absolutely skin and bones. His longish hair was hiding what he really looked like. I took him in and got him to my vet. It turned out he had a thyroid problem and was an older cat. After several trips to the vet, we got his medication correct and he was gaining weight and doing wonderfully. I kept him in the house and loved him from April 2009 to March 2010. We think he possibly had cancer at the end because he went downhill pretty fast. He was a great cat. He would always talk to me when I came in the room and I would mimic his calls back. He liked to play with toys and would cuddle up in my lap and sleep. I wish we would have had more time together but I am glad he had a warm place to sleep and lots of love and care for his last year on earth. Stray cats have such a hard life.
