Our family adopted Getty from a small adoption agency in New York City. He was only a kitten but we could tell he had been through a lot already. He had recently been a stray and looked for warmth under a car hood. Unfortunately, when someone started the engine, it removed one of his legs. Somebody found him and admitted him to a vet. He fully recovered and became a part of our family. His life had been full of health challenges but he was always very playful and affectionate to everybody. Getty was always an inspiration to us in getting through hard times with a positive attitude. We'll miss him dearly.
