Leroy was the most lovable, sweet little guy. He was in a home but no one took care of his needs: protection, food, warmth, etc. We took him in since he was sleeping on our porch swing and it was starting to get cold. He loved cuddling there with us and eventually in our chair or on our couch. We took him into the vet and his not drinking water was because he had five absessed teeth, his trachea would collapse and his heart was mishapen and he had to be on meds. We had him two years and we loved him - money was no concern, we just wanted to keep him comfy. There were three little guys that always stopped by to pet him and love him when they came home from school. We knew he was failing when he would no longer go to greet them.

He loved the girls at the vets, he couldn't wait for us to get the door open and he'd go in and greet all of them! They were so good to him. We were so sad to take him in and they said we'd know when. He was so unusually smart - always sat and looked at me when it was time for me to go use my inhaler! How he knew i don't know!! Howard says he was an angel.
