My Cat Francois was one of five black kittens born to a feral cat I was fostering. Once the kittens started getting mobile I noticed one kitten was at the foot of my bed every morning just sitting and staring at me. Out of curiosity I 'marked' the kitten to see if it was the same one and sure enough, it was. That's how I was chosen. For the next 17 years Francois was my constant companion and shadow always watching and trying to sit in my lap or be near me. The intensity with which he would look at me is indescribable. I miss him with evey fiber of my being.
