Koda was our beloved Black Lab. We got him as a puppy at 8 weeks old. He wasn't AKC registered or anything but he was all Labrador Retriever. I wasn't sure I was going to survive him the first couple years of his life. He had so much energy. I took on 3 mile runs every day and he still continued with the zoomies constantly. He was the best family dog... We are active in our Foster Care community and he was raised with all kinds of children coming in and out of our house, trying to ride him like a horse or trying to play dress up with him...he was the most patient loving dog. He traveled everywhere with us. Our family is very active camping and traveling and he went everywhere with us. In his later years we traveled Alaska for a summer, and he was a trooper sitting in our truck all day and exploring campsites with us. I am a stay-at-home mom and he was my side kick, following me everywhere. I miss him beyond words but I am so thankful for the time we had him. Thank you to WSU Vet Medicine, he developed heart problems later in life and they helped us with a Holter monitor and recommending heart medication that we believe gave us another couple of years with him.
