Paden was a remarkable dog and the theme most often repeated when friends and family learned of his passing was, "no one who ever met Paden coud ever forget him." He was full of life. He was larger than life. In his younger years he could hike half the day, rest 15 minutes and be ready for anything. He was protective, but never aggressive. He was smarter, more confident, more likable and better looking than most people.

His friends Jimmy & Izzy B. made a donation to WSU in his honor. His veterinarian, Dr. Geoffrey Goebel earned his doctorate at WSU and told us Paden was the only German Shepherd he ever trusted not to bite him. He was a boon companion to us for 12 years, teaching us more about dogs and ourselves than we could have imagined possible.

We will miss him until the day comes when we are all together again.
