Hank was a rescue from the local animal shelter. We had recently lost a beloved chocolate lab, Riley, and agreed, no more chocolate labs, or male dogs. At the pound were 14 chocolate puppies, of all the puppies one stood out, of course a male! It was a sign! He climbed over all the others and reached thru the bars, as if to say it's me. The first thing he did when we got home was climb in the dog pool and lay down in the water, something Riley did. He was loyal from day one, loving, protective, playful, and loved the water.
