I think most of us will remember Sasha exactly how she was right up to the day before she left us - at 14 still like a puppy – slowing down a little, and her hips giving her trouble, but still her happy go lucky sassy princess attitude, still the doctor of squeakerotomy, still the perfect living description of a Siberian. The students at the high school where I teach will always remember her "helping" them with homework, senior class projects, and reminding us all to live life to the fullest. I chose this picture of Sasha on the beach, because she and I spent some of our best days there - it was fun to see absoulute joy on her face as she ran. Thanks to Tim who gave to WSU Vet School in memory of this very special dog - and I think he said it best: “In my memory she’ll always be romping down the halls of the school with her nails clicking on the floor tiles, eager for her next adventure or friend.” How many dogs get to be in the school yearbook, have a feature article in the school newspaper, and are the star of Mysteries of History Stick Puppet Theater? The kids loved her so much, she even received votes for Homecoming court. Thanks to all of you who shared in her life.
