Annie

A donation was made in memory of Annie by the doctors and staff at Desert Veterinary Clinic on Jul 11, 2017.

Annie was born August 16, 2002. She was born at a house similar to Green Acres, with horses and a white painted fence. It was magical. She and another black lab female pup were the only two left in the litter when I came to look at them, but Annie was "the one." To remember which one I had chosen, I painted her toenail. Annie was a playful, ornery pup. She chewed up my now husband's golf shoes, she stole towels and papers off the table and ran around taunting us to chase her. One time she ate my trouser sock, and pooped it out whole, with no holes! But Annie was not a normal lab. She didn't like the water, and she refused to fetch. Even when we brought her "little brother," Mudge home in 2004, she let him do the swimming and running after tennis balls. We loved her to bits anyway. She was always at our feet, by the couch or under the table. When Mudge joined us, Annie suddenly grew up, going from sassy to mature big sister. Annie was curious and patient when we brought home our newborn son in 2007. As he became a toddler, she got her fair share of ice cream licks and extra snacks.
