Skye joined our family at the age of 7 weeks and she was our devoted hunting partner for over 10 years. She brought us a pile of birds over the years, always with enthusiasm and joy, ready to go for more. She would retrieve anything that we would send her after, happy to be of help. She often brought us something she thought we may want or need, like your socks, her stuffed toys, Frisbee or your $100 cashmere sweater. Skye retired from hunting at age 11 and enjoyed her retirement until her passing at the age of 14 1/2. She loved to meet people. She loved her family and to go anywhere her people would travel. She often alerted us of possible danger with a "woof"' even up to her final minutes when she caught a whiff of a skunk in the night air. We miss her terribly and cherish the opportunity to have been her "parents". We would do it again in a heartbeat!
