A donation was made in memory of Willow on
Jul 26, 2012.
Willow had spent over two years at a cat rescue before we met and adopted him. He had previously been adopted for about a month and sent back but he stood out to us a good fit for our other cat and became our "project kitty." He hid under our bathtub for the first week, but our other cat wasn't having any of that nonsense and promptly pinned him down and gave him a thorough ear washing. He was never outwardly social, but was a "stealth snuggler" and would come sniff us when he thought we weren't looking. We would often wake up to find him sleeping on top of us and he would dart away once we got up.
We knew something was wrong when he stopped eating, and he was soon diagnosed with advanced juvenile cancer. Although Willow had been with our family for just over a year when we lost him, he made a big impact on us and we are so happy to have given him a home for as long as we could. He now rests under a tree in the sunniest spot we could find by our local lake.
Willow was a devoted sunbather, a seasoned wrangler of cat nip mice, and great playmate and companion for our other cat. We can tell that she misses him a lot, and so do we.
