Rosie was my mother's cat and when my mom died, she became my cat. My mom's friends and I laughed about the fact that Rosie only liked my mom but she eventually tolerated me. And I grew very fond of her. She was a character. And when it was time, letting her go was more difficult than I had anticipated, as most pet lovers will probably attest to.
