Enzo came into our lives Christmas Eve 1999. He was tiny and weighed all of 14oz. From the first night he would be our special boy and knew exactly how to get what he wanted. At 9months he sustained a fracture which required surgical attention and ultimately amputation when it failed to heal. That never slowed him down and frankly he used his new status at times to get 'a little extra' in attention. He never stopped running and no matter where he was, the park or the vet, he always made friends and touched many people's lives. We celebrated his 13th birthday this year. He was taken from us suddenly this week following a brief fight with respiratory collapse and cardiac failure. He fought hard so he could come home and be with his family to the end. He will forever be our little trooper!

Comments: Enzo brought amazement and wonder to people wherever he went. He changed people who didn't like dogs into people who loved dogs. When he traveled airline flight attendants would feed him sandwiches that they charged other passengers for. He was Mercy and Zarko's dog but he belonged to the whole world. We will miss him every day.
