Rest in Peace
Jinjorbred Shiva Dancing June 16, 1996 - January 23, 2011
What can I say about my Shiva guy? That he was wise? That he was always there for me? That I loved him with all my heart. I have never known a cat like Shiva. He was a little 4-legged person. He was always at our parties...never hiding. Just one of the gang! He touched many lives. Anyone who knew Shiva will never forget him.
Shiva Dancing’s Grandparents were 2 long haired barn cats from Tennessee. His father, Jinjorbred George Burns was a natural born Sphynx (hairless cat). Shiva was one of his first sons. His mother was a Sphynx beauty named Jinjorbred Queen Noor.
Shiva was the official mascot at a dog site. He had a part in a “B” movie. He mingled and posed with WWE wrestlers He could pick winning Scratcher tickets He had a “magic belly” for wishes and he had a standing order for Fortune Cookies at his favorite Chinese restaurant

He recently lost his long battle with diabetes. He died in my arms while I kissed him and told him how much I loved him. I know there is no other place he would have wanted to be.

I am grateful for the years we shared and all the memories he has left with me.

As long as he exists in my memory he will always be with me.
I will always love my Shiva Dancing
Rest in Peace little guy.
Thank you to all the people who helped and supported Shiva and I during his struggle and me afterward.
A Special Thank you to Dr Stevenson and the staff at Companion Animal Hospital
Thank you for all the cards. Shiva received cards from all over the world. He loved receiving mail and looked at and enjoyed each one. He leaves those with me now filled with pleasant memories. Thank you for the cards I have received as well. They mean a lot to me.
I leave you with a happy memory of my Shiva. I wrote this story about Shiva a few weeks before he passed away. It really expresses what a character he was.
“Shiva the Shoplifter”
It all started at Toys-R-Us when Shiva was a baby. It was his first time there and he loved it! So many things to see. Then he saw it... As we went through the gift wrap section this naked arm shot out of the kiddy seat and grabbed something??? He had this big green bow. There was no doubt it was his!
We finished shopping and went to the check out. The cashier said he couldn't have it because it didn't have a tag. We told him he must have eaten the tag and offered to get another one for the price. He still totally refused to sell it. I didn’t want to take it from Shiva. He was sitting there holding it with both paws against his chest. I finally looked at the guy and said, “Fine...you take it from him”. Shiva had a death grip on it. The guy looked at Shiva and at the bow. He decided to let him have it for 45 cents.

Shiva shopped with us alot and always "picked out" things. He was never selfish about it either. He found toys he knew the other cats would like... he liked feathers. He loved the bird section at Pet Smart. His favorite birds have always been Finches. Maybe I'll get him one when he's well.

We never thought much about Shiva's quick paw...
The scene is years later. His other human Mom died of breast cancer. We have moved from California to Washington state and are in the local pet store for the first time.

My brother had dropped me off. He was taking dad home and coming back for me. He took forever. They didn't have shopping carts so they loaned me this little wheel barrel. Shiva thought it was real cool. He just sat in it and looked at things. I had promised Shiva a present. After looking at a lot of stuff he picked a PVC Cat Bed.

I was looking at everything for the 10th time...still no brother. Shiva was having a good time. Although they didn’t have Finches...only baby chicks. So we looked at fish. He likes to touch the plastic plants.

I remember at one point some lady talking to him about a fur mouse. I never saw any fur mice. At the time I didn't even think about it. At last Charles is here... The store was to a point where they were really watching me. I really hate that, but understand. So I go up and pay for Shiva's bed and my stuff. The lady had been real nice until I picked Shiva up. ... There were at least 6 cat toys under his butt including a huge fur mouse.

I said, “the cat did it”. I really don't think she believed me. She looked at me..."yeah the cat picked up toys and hid them in your cart." I added, “Under his butt." She was about to call the manager when the paw shot out and grabbed the mouse off the counter. Her face was great! She apologized and admitted she had been watching me because I was here so long...."but I didn't watch the cat".

So now Shiva get's strip searched when he goes there.

I finally bought him a stroller. There were instructions on how to get him used to it. Just leave it open and encourage him with treats. LOLOLOLOLOL He jumped in it. I had to remove him from it at bedtime and hide the thing so he would sleep with me! Shiva LOVES his stroller and it's "Paw Proof".

Comments: Sad to hear about your loss. I was doing some googling to find pictures of queen noor, who I believe is the same queen noor that had Shiva http://media.photobucket.com/image/recent/kaoticharmony/Shivas%2520Family/ShivasmotherQueenNoor.jpg I had queen noor from 2002-2006 when she died of a thyroid condition. She was the best cat I ever had, out of 7. Miss her.
