Bailey

A donation was made in memory of Bailey by Kevin Choy on Oct 15, 2011.

Some of the many things that I will miss about my dear Bailey boy:
1) His joyful greeting every time I came home (even if I'd only been gone for a 20 minute run to the store!)
2) The way he "helped" me grade papers
3) His ability to listen to hours & hours of mommy reading out loud from textbooks (he was the most learned dog ever, my Bailey, Ph.D.)
4) His play sessions with his bunny and squirrel
5) The way he ran after tennis balls up & down the stairs of our old house
6) His obsession with flashing lights & the infamous red dot
7) His mad dashes after cats & squirrels
8) The way he chewed his dingo bones with such gusto
9) His ability to skillfully catch treats in his mouth
10) His help in finishing every meal
11)His shower peeks
12) The feel of his body snuggled into mine when we slept
13) The way he needed to get behind any closed door
14) His "Bailey hugs"
15) Belly rubs for good luck
16) Our long walks together
17) The way he always seemed to be smiling & his tail was always wagging
18) His speak, sit down & lay tricks
19) His help opening presents, esp. if they smelled good or came in gift bags
20) The sneaky way he stole his cousin Suzie's food
21) His "happy fits"
22) The sound of his nails clicking on the floor, followed by a thump as he jumped on the bed or couch
23) The way he camped out on the back of the couch or arm of the couch to watch out the window
24) The way the mailman was always the bad guy, but the food delivery people were awesome
25)How he'd steal my McD's fries in a heartbeat but would leave anything else up on a table alone
26) His love of Chinese food (mommy's dog!)
27) The way he protected me & comforted me (when I had the ear infection that took away my hearing for weeks, he was right there with me by my side)
28) Our road trips (11 states in seven years!)
29) His habit of jumping into the tub every time he walked into a hotel room
30) The way he decided that hanging out in the bushes or grandpa's garden was great fun
31) How he always came when called & camped out in front of the house if he somehow slipped out
32) His knowledge of "inside" & "outside" voices
33) The feel of his soft fur
34) The way he attracted little kids to him & was so gentle & sweet with them
35) His love of exploring new places & going for car rides
36) His extreme patience (what other dog would take a puff from an inhaler every day w/o complaint?)
37) His desire to always be @ the head of the pack
38) His skillful jumps between the front & back seats of the car
39) How good he was when surrounded by tons of dogs at charity walks
40) His participation in all holiday activities (Dog egg hunt? Sure, mom!)

Most of all though, I will miss his love & knowing each day would bring a new memory to cherish. Your time on earth was much, much too short Bailey, but you will never ever be forgotten. I will always be proud to call myself your mommy. I miss you every day & always will. Until we meet again one day my little Bay-Bay, Baykins, B-Boy, Bailey sweetheart...I LOVE YOU!!

Nichole B.

Comments: Bailey, you are still missed so much despite a year having passed. None of the Holidays are the same without you and your mommy is still so sad. We all remember the good times with you though and what a gift you were to all of us. Happy times in doggy heaven my grand pup. Love always, Grandma

Comments: Dear Bailey, In a matter of hours it will officially be six months since you left this world. I cannot believe it has been half a year already since I last held you in my arms. Comments: Bailey had the sweetest, most easy-going personality. You could always count on him being at the table for his share of a meal. He loved chasing squirrels and kitties. He was a great traveler also. He will be forever missed. Chris B.

Comments: My favorite memory of Bailey is his love of Chinese food. Bailey knew we had it and would just wait patiently for his plate. Such a sweet and special baby who said so much with his eyes. And a good friend to Rosie and Mo. I like to think that Rosie was there to greet Bailey and show him the ropes when he got to heaven. We'll miss you Bailey but will never forget the joy you brought us.

Comments: Bailey was a great dog! I remember how excited he would be to see me and would wag his little tail. He was so cute...and kind. I will miss him. I'm sure he will see Jake in dog heaven.

Comments: What a wonderful addition our grand dog, Bailey, was in our lives. My favorite memory is his sneaking into our bedroom given the slightest opportunity and putting his head in my trash container so I would reach down from my bead and scratch his head. When he'd had enough he'd turn around so I could get the back. When I was done, he'd plop down and go to sleep. Yes, in OUR bedroom. Sweet dreams my little one. Love, Grandma

Comments: A little blessing to his mom Nichole. We never met Bailey but through Nichole's sense of joy every time she spoke of him, we learned how special he was to her. May Nichole always embrace such joy in loving memories of Bailey and in all of her future pets to come. We wish all pet parents were this attentive to the wonderfulness of pet family members. Thanks for your inspiration to us all! Thanks Bailey!!
