Toast

A donation was made in memory of Toast by Dr. Prickett at Animal World Veterinary Clinic on May 15, 2023.

My daughter had brought this tiny puppy home one night from a high school basketball game asking “may we keep her”?? She gave her the name “Toast” with the intention that this was going to be her dog. For some reason the dog adopted me, became obsessed with playing and she was at my side ever since. I did not mind since I have always wanted a dog that wanted to play and boy did she fulfill that wish. Whether it was a ball, a Frisbee or a stick, she was relentless. She had a quirky personality which is what made her so special. She was always at my side or in my lap and was just “Mans best Friend”. She hated any noise that the cell phone would make especially the camera sound and she gave you the LOOK as she walked away. She would go into a barking frenzy whenever I would put the footrest down on my recliner. But she was in her happy place if you were willing to throw anything for her. She would bring her ball to you and drop it at your feet, and alternate staring at the ball and staring at you just to drop a hint. She couldn't speak but she knew how to communicate. She loved the water and her spot on the boat was to sit at the very front with her feet on the outside of the rail while we were underway and would be our lookout. We tried to guess what breed she was comprised of, but we were way off. My daughter had her DNA tested and as it turns out she is Boston Terrier and Duck Tolling Retriever mix. This explains her love of the water. She was a great dog and she left an indelible mark on the hearts of many whom she came in contact with.
