On this beautiful, sunny day, we had to let Spud go at the age of 22 to be with Sneaker and Grandma Stephens. Spud has been with us almost as long as we've been together - we adopted him on January 11, 1987 - relocated with us three times and lived in three states. He's tolerated the addition of four other cats to 'his' household, and many foster cats and kittens. Sneaker was his little buddy and Grandma Stephens was the first one whose lap he chose, becoming her constant companion in her last weeks. One of the grandkids (Brynn?) called him the Grandpa Cat, which suited him well these last years. Even though Spud refused to go without our help, he went quickly and peacefully. We'll miss him terribly, but are thankful for the many years we shared with him. To all the family, friends, vets and staff who supported us and Spud, especially in these last years, we thank you. Spud is survived by his adopted little sisters Mama Kitty & Mo & adopted baby brother Bamm Bamm.
