Summer was a sweet little Sheltie mix that was truly a part of our family. She loved us all and would defend us far beyond her size would allow. She was with us as we raised 4 out of 5 of our children. She was smart, loyal, and was definitely "my" dog. She lasted well over her expected lifespan and we were blessed to have her for over 16 years. She was so much of my daily routine that I find it hard to not think of her in everything I do. She is so very missed.
