Who knew a doberman pinscher could be so incredibly gentle. Jak barely reached adulthood before his life was taken...way too soon. He was so so smart and so completely intuitive and sensitive that he knew what people needed from him without us asking...most of the time! :) He was still a frisky young boy as well and loved to play in the yard with his sister, Mia. Jak was training to be a therapy dog and was a loving companion to my elderly father. Jak was a messenger to everyone he met - showing people that big "scary" breed dogs can be kind, gentle, and sensitive. He was good with EVERYONE including babies and toddlers. Beautiful both inside and out, he touched so many lives. It broke our hearts to learn he had the deadliest of canine cancers, hemangiosarcoma. He lived full out for 9 months following his diagnosis, even being the sponsor of a pub crawl that raised funds for fixed income seniors (www.BudkisFund.com) who are hit with emergency vet expenses. Jak was simply the best dog ever. He has left a huge void in our lives and we are profoundly grateful for the time we had with this beautiful being.
