We rescued Sadie in 2005 via the Seattle Pure Bred Dog Rescue at the age of five. We had had several Scotish Deerhounds and an Borzoi that died too young from torsion/bloat or osteosarcoma.

My wife saw her picture and said "can we have her knowing she already has one foot in the grave." Sadie blessed us with another 7 year of life, 6 weeks short of her 13th birthday (March 17th).
We were informed she did not like men, yet she came right to me when I entered the foster home. Although underweight, weighing 70#s at age 5 we managed to put another 30#s on her. We belive her small frame contributed to her long life.

She knew humans were always good for a pet or a treat and when they ceased petting, she would remind them to continue with a wack from her big paw.
