Crystal was an extraordinary dog and companion. She was rescued about 14 years ago from a hoarding case in California. A local veterinary posted her story on Pet Finders and she immediately stole my heart. Having been kept in a cage for the first 2 years of her life, Crystal had very little social interaction with other dogs or humans. When I met her for the first time with very little coaxing she came right to me. She somehow sensed that I would do her no harm. This is my farewell letter to my heart and soul: My precious Crystal, it’s been almost a year since you’ve crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and still my heart grieves for you. You were my BFF, my confidant and you loved me unconditionally. I wish others could have seen the way you loved to dance when you were happy. You were a very playful, loving girl and you were very attentive to my safety and well being. Crystal, you were well loved by your humans and the cats adored you. They miss visiting you throughout the day with their purrs and head butts and long to nap with you once more. Other people made you wary, but I was glad you chose me to be your human. You will never be forgotten, as you’ve etched yourself upon my heart. Good-bye my love...run and play with the angels above.
