Ava was fear aggressive because of her horrible past of being beaten and abused, so she was a biter. Her bio said, "Hates men, hates kids, hates dogs, bites." We knew she would love us. Well, she bit us for the first three days but after that was perfect. She kept her circle small, disliking everyone and everything outside of her immediate family. Ava was quirky, had OCD and refused to walk down steps even though she knew how. Ava was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2019, was given three months to live by her oncologist, but with the wisdom of her fabulous vet, Dr. Raul Ortiz-Umpierre, Ava lived a year-and-a-half.
