Arlo

A donation was made in memory of Arlo by the doctors and staff at Valley Veterinary Clinic on Oct 31, 2025.

Arlo Russell Wilson Miethe came to our family as the runt of a litter. Within a month of having him, he had had 3 procedures to fix a prolapsed rectum, after multiple attempts to remedy the issue, he ended up having to have a pretty significant surgery. The severity of the surgery combined with the fact that he was so young, didn't give him great odds of surviving. We rolled the dice and did the surgery anyway & survived it! We wish we could say it was all sunshine and rainbows from then on, but that's just not our little fighter's story. Arlo survived more challenges than most humans I know and ended up giving us almost 10 years of joy, companionship, laughter, and so, so much fetch! There was the time he escaped being surrounded by coyotes, and one time he got stuck in a fence for an entire 100 degree day, and even lost an eye to a bigger dog! We used to joke that he was more like a cat than a dog because he would walk along the top of the couch & it certainly seemed that Arlo had 9 lives ❤️.

Arlo, we will never forget you. You walked through some magnificenly hard times with us, and were always there, waiting to cheer us up with your quirky, sun-loving, goofy grin! Enjoy the never ending fetch in doggie heaven little buddy!

Rest easy my friend, Andrew, Paul, Krystal, and the Brady Bunch ❤️
