We had to let go of our precious Luna on September 29, 2008. She came to us 18 years ago, a stressed little calico kitten being offered to any stranger who happened to be in the grocery store in Springfield that day. I'm glad to have been in the right place at the right time. Luna was truly a precious companion, always nearby, loving to be held close, and (almost) always willing to come when I called her name. She was really the Quintessential Cat. Beautiful soft fur, intelligent and soulful eyes, tremendous grace and agility. Her delight was to run, leap, stretch, luxuriate in the sun, and hunt. We think she may have scared off a burglar once, but that's another story.

This little entry isn't really enough tribute to our Luna, but I believe she felt well-loved, and we did our best for her while she lived. I miss her every day.
