I adopted Basil as a kitten from MEOW Cat Rescue just after 9/11 as a companion for Winston, who I adopted as an adult. They were amazing playmates and cuddle buddies and gave me so much joy. I lost him to chronic renal disease at the age of 18 1/2. He had incredible green eyes, a large vocabulary, and loved greeting everyone who came into the house. An unforgettable cat.
