Ashley left us in September of 2009. We still miss her everyday. She was 14 years old and we liked to call her "silly old girl," among a slew of other nicknames. She had the nose of a bloodhound and loved to smell everything and anything. We spent lots of time just watching her "sniff out" the house from one end to another. Ashley had an addiction to shrimp; she could smell it before you even got it in the house! Ashley loved to have "blanket time" where she could snuggle and snooze. She was at the door whenever we would come home and start hugging us around the legs to say "hey, welcome home, now give me a treat!" She was a great source of comic relief and made us laugh and smile often. Ashley will be in our hearts forever.
