Colby

A donation was made in memory of Colby by Dr. Rick and Pam DeBowes and Family on Jul 18, 2019.

We recently lost Colby to congestive heart failure. My family got Colby as a puppy when I was a sophomore in high school. During that time I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian, and knew I would likely be the one to care for him during his senior years. He was such a joyful companion throughout my undergraduate and veterinary career at WSU. His personality was truly unique. He would speak to you, he was intelligent (a problem solver, and learned over 20 tricks in his first month and enjoyed performing them throughout his life), he was always happy and had a smile on his face, he loved his play routine every night, his daily walks and gardening with my mom. He lived such a wonderful life and we were lucky to have such a joyful, smart, exuberant companion. He is missed by his family: Karen, Steve, Andrew, Tina, and his Border Collie companion Lenny.
