Patty came to us from a relative who rescued her from the pound at the age of two. She was on her last days there and in very bad condition. The pound staff told my Uncle that her previous owners abandoned her and beat her. He looked at her and knew she was leaving that building with him, but she was so weak she had to be carried everywhere. She recovered and remained the sweetest gentlest dogs towards everyone...except tortoises (they are the only things that move slower than her). With a lot of love and many vet visits she was able to finish out the rest of her 10 years happy. She truly was the best dog ever. We all love and miss her every day, but we know that she is in a better place.
