Our beloved little beagle Puck was my wife Jenney's first dog. She had always wanted one, but we lived in a NYC apartment that did not allow them. When we decided to move to Seattle she found a breeder and Puck joined our family as an 8-week old puppy on our 1st wedding anniversary. Walking through Pike's Place Market when he was a puppy meant stopping every 10 feet so someone could pet him. My mother-in-law said it was like being with a rock star, so one Halloween we dressed him up as Elvis. He was really good natured, putting up with that sort of thing, but he did have the beagle stubbornness and curiosity. He had to sniff every package delivered to our house when we opened it. And could he howl! We lost him to a brain tumor 3 weeks before his 15th birthday, as we gathered around him. Thank you for all the joy and love you brought into our lives little Pucky. You will always be our baby beagle.
