Filbert
A donation was made in memory of Filbert by the doctors and staff at Queen Anne Animal Clinic on Jan 22, 2026.
I wrote a poem for Filbert while at WSU for treatment.
Unconditionally
Just when it seems you can’t take anymore, you do Is that for me or is it for you For me, I would guess, from stoic you Unconditionally
Your love and trust are undying They are met sometimes with inconsolable crying You do the comforting, no denying Unconditionally
Is this what you would expect It’s your beautiful soul, I suspect, this interpretation you would wholly reject Unconditionally
My heart breaks and is simultaneously filled with the purest of love that you have instilled Without need nor want nor will Unconditionally
The very part of my heart that you took on Has somehow grown leaps and bounds beyond No limits on friendship, companionship and bond Unconditionally
I will not say goodbye, but see you again By me side and in my heart until the end Your wings unfurl and into the stratosphere you ascend. Unconditionally
