Nala

A donation was made in memory of Nala by Dr. Raul Ortiz-Umpierre and Dr. Robert Katz at Stuart Animal Hospital on Oct 04, 2022.

We adopted Nala on January 22, 2020. She was so excited to be released from the shelter after being in there for over a year, and we couldn't wait to get her home. Nala was abandoned at a dumpster after being used for puppies.

From the beginning, Nala always had her fair share of health issues. She had heart-worm when we adopted her, allergies to virtually everything, an infection in her mouth (which led to countless teeth being removed), incontinence from giving birth, and eventually a tumor on her adrenal gland which led to her passing.

We only had Nala for 2 1/2 years, but those were the best years of our lives. There is a saying that says, "A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself." That saying rang true in our lives. She was a pivotal part in our healing journey from our past, and we like to think we healed each other.

She was truly the best dog, (and we know a lot of owners would claim that). But she really was. She was the most well-behaved, kind-hearted, gentle, and loyal dog we have ever encountered.

We are so blessed that we got to have her in our lives, and we miss her every single day.

Thank you Nala for being our baby. Always and forever our "bubba-girl."

Comments: This is our dear Grand dog!! We loved Nala so, so much!! We used to FaceTime with our daughter just so we could see and talk to our “Nalagirl”!!! Even though she lived in Florida and we were in PA, we had many opportunities to see her!! Every time she would see us, even if it had been months, she would get so excited smiling ear to ear and that tail would wag so fast!! She was a little love bug and a great snuggler!!! We miss her so very much, and we know we’ll see her again over the Rainbow Bridge!!
