Our beloved sugar was a 12 year old pitbull mix whom we adopted from the Humane Society when she was 2 years old. She was found running down the median of the highway when a young lady pulled over to help her, Sugar was grateful and jumped into the ladies car. A lady from the humane society grew to love the gentle, sweet, cuddly girl and would take her home every night where Sugar would sleep in her bed. She was not able to keep this sweet girl, and when I went in to the humane society she immediately melted my heart. My boyfriend's son was attacked by a dog when he was very young leaving him terrified of dogs, she quickly won his heart and would even sleep with him when he came to visit. In the years we were blessed to enjoy her company she was always loyal and was able to help several other children get over their fear of dogs. She will be greatly missed but forever remembered in our hearts!
