A little white kitten was found wandering the busy downtown streets of Portland, Oregon in 2003. She was taken to the animal shelter. We saw her there the next day and signed up to adopt her when she became available. We named her Rigel after a star in the constellation of Orion, since she was a bright little fireball. She joined our family of two dogs and two other cats where she became a focal point for all kinds of mischief. We were blessed with her for fourteen years.
