Bumper

Bumper lived a nice long life to the age of 9 yrs. old. I adopted him from the Oregon Humane society when he was about 1 yr. old. He was a little timid at first but eventually learned to trust and was a great companion. He was very playful and social. He loved his treats and running free in the house. When I was at my desk on the computer he would lay on my feet. If he decided he needed some attention he would tug at my pants leg to let me know he needed some love. One day a friend of mine visited from Seattle. I was not home when she arrived. She went over to say hello to Bumper who was sleeping. He would not wake up. She shook the cage and tried several attempts to wake him up. My friend was frantic thinking the worst had happened and how sad I would be if Bumper didn't wake up. Bumper skunked all of us as he was a sound sleeper and eventually woke up. He gave my friend quite a scare and we still tell the story to this day. Bumper was a character and is missed very much.
