DJ had mitral valve disease and lived for 4 years after diagnosis. He died after experimental transcatheter valve replacement surgery at Colorado State University Veterinary Hospital. We were glad to participate in this vital medical research and hope that successful transcatheter mitral surgery will become commonplace for all dogs in the future.
