Sophie was a feral, scrawny kitten, saved and given to us by an avid cat-loving friend . She was an absolute joy and friend, once she recovered and grew into a beautiful little lady, forever stealing my heart! She died suddenly, at a seemingly-healthy 9 years of age, without explanation, even after exhaustive necropsy, X-rays, and testing. The hardest part is not knowing what caused her death, but only what didn't cause her death. I only hope the memorial funds, given in her name, will help create testing procedures that can further help identify causes of death.
