Lando
A donation was made in memory of Lando by the doctors and staff at Latah Creek Animal Hospital on Oct 23, 2024.
To our dear, sweet, incredible boy, Lando.
You were something special. We are having such a hard time putting into words exactly what you meant to us. What a profound impact you had on our lives in just six short years. You were taken from us far too soon and we will forever grieve the time we didn’t have with you, while being so incredibly grateful for the time we did.
You were such a fighter. The first time we took you in because we knew something was wrong, they told us your kidneys were failing and that we would probably be saying goodbye. But you fought so hard and you beat the odds and you gave us almost three more wonderful years with you, darling boy. Those are three years we will cherish forever and always.
You did not have a mean bone in your body. We never heard you hiss. You never bit or scratched out of anger or aggression. Even if we snapped at you for being on the counter or getting into things you shouldn’t, seconds later you would be looking up at us lovingly, asking for more pets and attention. Nothing ever phased you. You loved your life and the people in it, no matter what.
Sweet boy, we will miss the way you followed us around the house, and shook your tail in excitement when we pet you. The way you were always there to greet us each time we came home, or how you were at the door when we woke up every morning. We will miss the way you flopped on your side for belly rubs and scritches. We will miss the way you would demand snuggles the second we sat down, the way you would not take no for an answer. The way you would flatten your ears and squint your eyes as if to say “don’t mind me, I’m just going to lay here anyway” if we tried to have a little space. We will miss the way you looked at us so lovingly no matter what was going on. The way you would snuggle with such intensity that your purring could be heard from across the room. The way you would paw at us for love and attention. The way you would stand on your hind legs for treats and pets. We will miss your intelligent and inquisitive gaze. Oh how we will miss your head boops. But most of all sweet loving boy, we will miss you.
Thank you for sharing your life with us for those six wonderful years. We hope that now, somewhere across that rainbow bridge, you are playing with your sister, eating all the food and treats your heart could desire, and most of all, getting all the love and snuggles you could ever want or need.
Goodbye sweet boy. Rest in paradise. We will love and miss you forever.
