Jake was our 8 year old Basset Hound. We got him when he was 4 months old. He always went with the flow and never complained. Even after he got sick he was always in a good mood. He loved us, and his sister Daisy, as much as we loved him. He was the biggest dope, but we loved him more because of his dopiness! We found out he had cancer, adenocarcinoma, in November 2010. At the time they thought he also had lymphoma. The following month we found out that he actually didn’t have lymphoma. We couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas gift! He had a happy, healthy 7 months before he started showing signs of sickness again. After much examining and testing, we made the difficult decision to put him to rest. We found out shortly after that he had a very large tumor in his throat. It was the hardest decision we have ever made, but the best decision in the end. Jake was the best dog and we miss him very much.
