Sugar

A donation was made in memory of Sugar by the doctors and staff at North End Pet Hospital on Nov 12, 2025.

Sugar gave me so much joy! She popped into my life unexpectedly in January 2013. She was a very sick 3 week old puppy and survived parvo! She later was diagnosed with cushings disease as well as diabetes in 2020. Through all her troubles, she was a shining light and a funny, sassy Chihuahua! She loved her toys, she loved to play 'fast dog' and run circles around the yard. She worshipped the sun and spent her summer days watching hummingbirds and finches while lounging on patio furniture. She spent many days boating with us out on the Puget Sound with her Papa Don aboard the 'Annianne'. She gave the best snuggles and kisses with (no tongue!) We worked so hard to keep her healthy! Unfortunately, she suffered from 2 vicious diseases that ultimately ended her life November 10th 2025. Almost made it to 13! We would like to give people hope that dogs with cushings disease can live a happy life with the right meds and vet care! We would like to give a sincere thank you to North End Vet Hospital for donating to WSU in name of our beloved Sugar! Also, thank you to Button Veterinarian, and Summit for the care they gave our sweet girl! The day her heart stopped, ours changed forever! We love you Sugar! Love: Momma, Papa, and Nanee! 12-27-12 - 11-10-25 Until we meet again!
