Amos

A donation was made in memory of Amos by Doctors and Staff of the Companion Animal Wellness Center on May 21, 2012.

Amos and his brother, Andy, adopted me when they were one year old in spring of 1998. The previous owners were abusive and I was glad to have them live with me. Amos was the smaller of the two dogs and very sweet. He even let the cats eat from his bowl! He was as smart, funny and silly as he was cute. He had been treated by Dr. Eva Pinto at Companion Animal Wellness Center in Poulsbo for Cushing's disease the past year. However, he started breathing strange over Easter weekend. He went to see Dr. Clark, as Dr. Pinto was not available, on April 10, 2012 to discover he had cancer that had metastasized to his lungs. The disease progressed quickly during that week to the point he could no longer go on. They day before he left, he walked around outside visiting his favorite spots and staring out into the woods as if saying goodbye. On the morning of April 17, 2012, he took his last car ride to the vet. Dr. Clark assisted him on his journey to Rainbow Bridge. He was very loved by all who met him and he is missed more than words can say.
