My son gave Pearl to me when she was the tiniest puppy. She was a Jack Russell Rat Terrier. The day he was bringing her over to me, they stopped at his girlfriends Moms work, and when the door opened, she got out of the car without them seeing her somehow. She was lost. I was heart broken. We looked and looked for her but couldnt find her. I posted a lost dog flier at the animal shelter here and about a week later, I got a phone call from this woman who said she thinks she had my dog. I was sooo happy! But then she said she didnt want to give her back, because her dog had fallen in love with her, and she said her dog didnt like ANYBODY.I was like well,,,,,its not your dog....and then she said she couldnt do it because she would have wanted someone to give her dog back if he got lost...so we were able to go pick Pearl up, and I had her beside me from that day on. For 15 years she brought me happiness and companionship, I will never forget her.
