We adopted Charlie from the Furever Homes Dog Rescue on January 4, 2016, when he was ten years old (as far as we know). We weren’t really expecting to take a dog home, but he was just the one. He needed us, and he showed us how much we needed him. He was dirty, matted, skinny, and his tongue stuck out, but he was perfect! We cleaned him up, groomed him, and fattened him up. He was our sweet little man who loved to cuddle. He never missed a meal, even up to the very end, and he had a strange little goose-honk-like bark to let us know it was mealtime! He died in his momma’s arms on May 17, 2022, and we will miss him always. We love you so much, Charlie! ❤️
