It is with extreme sadness that on December 13, 2011 at 10:05am our Bogey passed away. Bogey taught us many things and we are very fortunate to have had him in our lives for the 8 short years that we did. We all go into getting a dog knowing that we will more than likely out live them. This does not make it any easier when the last day arrives.
Bogey was an extra special dog that touched many lives, especially in his last two years as he became a therapy dog visiting patients at the hospital every Saturday and each Wednesday at Hilltop Elementary reading with the kids in the library. He also enjoyed reading with the kids first at a local book store and then in the new Reading With Rover location in Redmond, WA. In May Bogey & I traveled to Kentucky to become a certified crisis response team. It was a wonderful experience, even though we never did get the opportunity to be deployed.
Our home is very quiet with Bogey gone and we think about him many times throughout each day. It has taught us that each & everyday is a blessing with the ones we love. Cherish them all while they are here.
