I acquired Starsky, his brother Hutch and his other siblings and mother at Pullman's local animal shelter. I was asked to foster the whole family and then I could have the pick of the litter. I asked my college roommates and my land lord if that would be acceptable. They agreed and we had 5 cats suddenly in our lives. We had the kittens and mom until the kittens were weaned. Then I decided to keep Starsky and Hutch per my roommates suggestion to make sure they could have a friend. Fast forward almost 15 years and this little buddy was so loud, silly (wandering around the house carrying toys in his mouth and yelling), jumping on my husband's back, jumping up to do what we called mini ponys, and talking whenever he jumped onto something. He loved being outside under a bush and/or sunbathing and totally ignoring you. After his accident which ended him up at the ER for 11 days, three surgeries and transfusions later he came home. We rehabbed him and taught him how to walk again. I knew he'd be fine when he started purring and yelling again. Through all of his trials he had such a loving and goofy personality. He will be remembered fondly and missed for a long time.
