Jewels (aka Jewbie) hopped on her three legs into my life during her second Rabies exam. As a newly minted veterinarian in my second year of mixed animal practice in rural Wisconsin, I was not looking for a canine companion. What I planned prior to meeting her no longer mattered, she promptly came home with me after third and final Rabies exam.

Jewels immediately made herself at home and proceeded to be the best companion I could have ever asked for. Although I wish I could have had many more years with her, the four she shared with me fill me with a lifetime of love and memories I will always treasure.

She was an inspiration to me and everyone lucky enough to meet her. I often said she had a "can do attitude, with a can't do body." Thank you for being the sweetest, most beautiful land seal/Pibble. I will always love you Jewels.
