A donation was made in memory of Daisy by
the doctors and staff at Queen Anne Animal Clinic on
Mar 04, 2020.
Daisy came to us initially as a foster in 2010 from a small shelter near where we lived in the Mid-West. She was 3 years old and had some behavioural issues but there was just something about her and after a month of fostering we adopted her. She was very reactive to other dogs and very wary of men, particularly those wearing baseball caps. It took a lot of work over a lot of years (and a lot of stress) but we were finally able to give her the tools she needed to become a confident and happy dog.
We moved to Seattle in 2016 and she settled in amazingly well. She still had issues with a couple of dogs but overall she was a totally different dog. Sadly in January of 2020 she was diagnosed with cancer and as it had already spread we decided to treat her palliatively. Initially she seemed to be handling it really well but in late February she started to deteriorate quite rapidly and so we made the very tough decision to let her go.
The staff at Queen Anne Animal Clinic had always been great but that day they went over and above to make that day as comfortable as it could possibly be.
Daisy was a crazy dog but she was also very special and we will never forget her.
