Miss Firefly loved supporting her Cougars and would often dress up to show her spirit, even portraying Butch at Halloween. She enjoyed sunbeams and cleverly created a funnel by scooting her basket between the back door and the drapes to focus the sun on her. She was also known to magically appear in rooms where the door had been closed and in drawers that had been pulled shut. Firefly was an adventurer and loved to explore the basement and climb to the top of chairs and sofas. During rest periods she enjoyed listening to stories, especially The Story of Ferdinand and Olivia and the Kissing Hand. She remains the heroine of quite a few stories of her own.
