I got Zeus for my 13th birthday. He was my best friend throughout Middle School, High School, and then college. Together we went on adventures and grew up together. There were times of great loss in my family, and he was always the most consistent thing in my life. He was almost 14 years old when he passed away; I was almost 27 years old. Losing him has hurt extremely, and I still accidentally say his name when I am trying to call one of the cats. I still get home prepared to take him on a walk, just to be hit with the reality that we will never get to walk again. Zeus was a good pup. Always loved, never forgotten.
